Oh Man! They are caught. Scrap the RTI law. Another chance of proving patriotism has been foiled by Times. It should have been allowed for the Chiefs, at least post retirement, since the productive life goes into serving the country. Now when they had minutes on hand and opportunity too, they took the maximum possible advantage of it. What’s a big deal in that? We all know opportunity knocks only once.
Acquiring a property is one thing and managing is another. War widows wouldn’t have been able to manage and maintain it even if they would have acquired the property. So it went into the right hands—the rich tank. Nature takes its own course. Why should we dispute it then? First of all, it was the army men’s problem that they laid their lives for the country following orders from their Chiefs. Did they ask us? They should have at least taken our views that if at all we wanted to be secure. Aivanyi chal diye apni jaan dene! They should have atleast done their life insurance before they went to fight. Salary paid is sufficient enough to cover the premium. Also, the insurance firms now-a-days are paying the insurance amount within 48 hours with complimentary tea anytime. Insurance amount would have been sufficient enough to feed a young widow, an ailing pair of parents and two kiddos. 
As a natural rule, the Defence Chiefs require more to feed their kids, educate, and up bring them in a different world. After all, moustache carries more weight than stubs. We have always talked about the bureaucracy and politics not working hand-in-glove. See we have again proved it wrong. Just admire the kind of clemency they displayed with each other during the land grab (oops!), I mean to say land sharing. Sharing is nowhere to be observed during the current time, but here is a live instance. We are proud of all the folks who have been donning the higher echelon in the Defence Services. We owe our life to them. Did someone ask if we are ready to fight China? C’mon. Still you have a doubt…?
